Dress Code
BCE Dress Code
Big Cypress Elementary has a mandatory dress policy. Please familiarize yourself with this policy. Parents/Guardians: we respectfully request your support in ensuring that your child dresses appropriately for school.
SHIRTS ONLY
- 3 inches below the waist of pants.
- Shirt length no longer than fingertips (arms at sides)
- No frayed edges or holes of any kind.
- Graphic images must be school appropriate.
LANYARDS
- Must be always worn with ONLY ID badge around the neck and visible.
- School issued lanyards only.
PANTS / SHORTS
- Shorts should not be excessively short (length must be longer than fingertips (arms at sides)
- Shorts/Pants must fit appropriately, not baggy or too large.
- No sagging of shorts or pants.
- Belts are optional.
- No frayed edges or holes of any kind.
- Leggings are allowed under shorts or dress.
HAIR / HATS / SUNGLASSES
- Hats, bandanas, caps, and sunglasses may not be worn in the school building.
SHOES
- Closed toe, closed heel, and laces must be tied.
- No heel height greater than one inch.
- NO flip-flops, slides, or Crocs.
- Sneakers or tennis shoes with Laces or Velcro must be worn at all times.
SWEATERS / SWEATSHIRTS / ZIPPERED JACKETS
- Please write your child’s name on the inside of their jackets or sweaters with a permanent marker
